  • AmerisourceBergen Endorses Re-Introduction of Pharmacy Provider Status Legislation

    Legislation to recognize pharmacists as providers of care in the Medicare Part B program was recently re-introduced in Congress. The legislation, which would expand patient access to quality health care services in medically underserved and health care professional shortage areas has broad bipartisan and bicameral support with over 100 cosponsors in the House of Representatives and nearly 30 in the Senate.

  • ABC Urges Congressional Action on Provider Status Legislation

    AmerisourceBergen, along with over 30 organizations, sent a letter to Congressional Committee Chairs and Ranking Members requesting that they take action on legislation that would allow pharmacists to be reimbursed under Medicare Part B for services provided in Medically Underserved Areas.
