Let your legislators know you support for DIR reform and ask them to do the same!

AmerisourceBergen joined NCPA and other pharmacy stakeholders in signing a letter to CMS and HHS encouraging them to finalize proposals that address DIR fees in their recently proposed rule to lower out of pocket costs for seniors.

NCPA, WSPA and NACDS support action by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), on Sept. 11, 2018, to reject Washington State's below-cost and lowest-in-the-nation Medicaid pharmacy dispensing fees.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) notified all Medicare Part D plan sponsors that, “CMS finds any form of ‘gag clauses’ unacceptable and contrary to our efforts to promote drug price transparency and lower drug prices.”

In a 1,000-page final 2019 Medicare Part D rule released Monday afternoon, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services asserted its statutory authority to require that some portion of rebates and pharmacy DIR fees be applied at point of sale.
