AmerisourceBergen continues to advocate with associations and industry coalitions, like NPCA, to prohibit retroactive DIR fees so fees are assess at the point of sale. Join us in supporting NCPA’s DIR Day on Dec. 6 by contacting your Members of Congress!
Mark your calendar: NCPA has declared Dec. 6 "DIR Day." NCPA is asking you to figure out how much you have paid in DIR fees this year and take a few moments on Dec. 6 to share that amount with your legislators. Let them know how the uncertainty of how these fees are assessed, often weeks or months after the fact, affects your ability to manage the business operations of your pharmacy and how that can potentially impact patient care. Why on Dec. 6? There's strength in numbers! You can find your legislators' contact information on NCPA’s grassroots resources website here, or on AmerisourceBergen’s grassroots pharmacy advocacy website OurIndependentVoice.com.
AmerisourceBergen is committed to you and your patients. If you attended ThoughtSpot 2017, you saw our dedication to advocacy and our commitment to fair, accurate, and timely reimbursement for pharmacies, as well as the greater need for DIR fees transparency first hand. Nearly 1,000 advocacy letters were sent to legislators during ThoughtSpot 2017. If you haven’t already, join your fellow independent pharmacists by visiting OurIndependentVoice.com and take action on Dec. 6th!
