AmerisourceBergen’s First Combined National Advisory Board Meeting at NCPA's Congressional Fly-in

May 20, 2019

Good Neighbor Pharmacy and Elevate Provider Network National Advisory Boards participated in NCPA’s Congressional Fly-in in Washington, DC in early April. While AmerisourceBergen has long sponsored the event, and had associates attend in solidarity, this marks the first time we’ve brought both boards together and held a meeting in conjunction with the event.

Our National Advisors heard from HHS Secretary Azar and held our very first combined meeting in Alexandria, VA before getting on a bus and riding up to Capitol Hill for meetings with legislators from both Houses. A productive day of meetings and advocacy was capped off with a Congressional Reception at Rayburn House, sponsored by AmerisourceBergen– Jenni Zilka, GVP, Good Neighbor Pharmacy Field Programs and Services, Peter Kounelis, VP, Elevate Provider Network and Beth Mitchell, Sr. Director, Government Affairs, stood along-side of NCPA leadership to welcome everyone to the reception.

National Advisors participated in almost 30 meetings with legislators and staff over the course of the 2-day event. Doug Hoey, NCPA CEO, took notice, tweeting his thanks for our participation and support:
