Reps. Peter Welch (D-VT) and Morgan Griffith (R-VA) reintroduced H.R. 803, the Improving Transparency and Accuracy in Medicare Part D Drug Spending Act in Congress in February. In the previous Congress, this legislation had 89 bipartisan cosponsors. H.R. 803 would ensure community pharmacists receive reimbursement at the rate posted at the time prescriptions are filled by prohibiting Medicare Part D plan sponsors and PBMs from retroactive DIR fees.
